Experience a mindful escape along the scenic Beamsville Bench. Begin with a guided hike through forest trails on the Bruce Trail, followed by a visit to 9 Acres Organic Farm to explore their charming farm shop filled with fresh produce, honey, and other local goodies. Finish your day with a curated wine tasting and leisurely lunch at the beautiful Fielding Winery, surrounded by rolling vineyards and Niagara views.

 

This expedition starts and finishes at Fielding Winery, 4020 Locust Lane, Lincoln, ON

 

Distance: approx 7 km

 

Terrain: The first km of this hike is steep and requires hiking over large rocks to the top of the escarpment. Once at the top, dirt single track forest trails with rocks and roots and some slight inclines and declines. Approx 2 km of flat country roads.

 

Hike Difficulty: First km is rated intermediate to difficult with the remaining route rated beginner to intermediate level.

 

Fitness Level: Intermediate with some hiking experience. Average to good fitness level.

 

What to Bring:

Backpack (big enough to buy goodies at 9 Acres Organic Farm)

Water/snack

Bug Spay

Sunscreen

Hat/sunglasses

Hiking Poles suggested but not mandatory

Trail shoes or hiking boots (footwear with good tread)

Dress for the weather

Small cooler to leave in your car (to keep organic produce or eggs cool after hike)

 

This event runs rain or shine! We do not cancel for light rain, so please dress accordingly. However, in the case of heavy rain, extreme winds, or lightning—conditions that make hiking unsafe—we may need to cancel. If cancellation is necessary due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control, you will have the option to join the rescheduled date or receive a full refund.

  • PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY:

    ​Payment for each activity is expected in full at time of registration. All completed and signed waivers must be received by Nature Girl Expeditions prior to the start of each activity. Failure to do so could result in cancellation of your activity with a 25% fee deducted from your refund for processing.

    ​Nature Girl Expeditions reserves the right to make changes to our current scheduled activities when necessary. Every effort will be made to inform you of these changes in a timely manner. As well, we reserve the right to change the itinerary in bad weather, and emergency situations. If this should occur, you can accept the change, request a partial refund for the portion of the activity affected, or be credited for a future activity.

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    ​We require cancellation notice of at least 48 hours before the start of the scheduled activity if you are no longer able to attend. A refund, less a 10% processing fee will be returned to you.

    ​Nature Girl Expeditions is not able to refund an activity fee if you fail to attend a registered activity or cancel after 48 hours of the start of the scheduled activity. A credit for a future activity or event will not be granted.

    ​Cancellations by Nature Girl Expeditions can happen up to 7 days before the date of the scheduled activity. You can transfer your booking to a future activity or request a full refund. Occurrences beyond our control such as natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, pandemics, or other external events can make it unsafe to proceed with scheduled activities. If this occurs, Nature Girl Expeditions will provide a full refund.
