Join us for our annual Halloween Witches Walk, a fun and meaningful charity night hike! This guided evening adventure combines a touch of spooky park history with an introduction to night hiking in a safe, supportive, and spirited group setting. All net proceeds are donated to a local organization that supports disadvantaged women in our community. Lace up your boots, bring your best witchy vibes, and enjoy a magical night under the stars—for a great cause!
 
Location: Shorthills Provincial Park, entrance at 1208 Pelham Rd, St. Catharines
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Distance: Approx 5 km
Terrain: Uneven single track dirt trails with rocks and roots. Some short inclines and declines.
Fitness Level: Suitable for novice to advenaced hikers. Mustbe able to hike up to 2 hours on uneven terrain
 
What to Bring:
Head lamp or flashlight (mandatory)
Small backpack
Water/snack
Dress in layers for the weather
Hiking poles if you normally use them but not required
 
Please note that there are no refunds for this event, as it is a charity hike and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Westview for Women in support of their programs for disadvantaged women in our community.
 
In the event of bad weather, the rain date will be November 1. The hike will be postponed if conditions such as heavy rain, lightning, high winds, or extremely muddy trails make it unsafe to proceed. However, please note that we do not cancel for light rain—a little drizzle just adds to the adventure!
